Roll down your sleeves and prepare to ward off the wind!

Even the most weather withstanding among us will need a few winter wardrobe pieces that keep the warmth in and the chill out. A great place to start is with a standard classic like the Aran Knit Rollneck Sweater, available to you from Ralph Lauren Boys. This classic fisherman’s sweater features an intricate Aran-knit motif and soft combed cotton, keeping you comfortable, insulated and effortlessly on trend all winter long! Wear with dark jeans or earth-tone chino pants to complete the ensemble and be ready to take on the temperature.

For a pop of color on a layer that’s meant to both insulate and instill elegance, a tried and true way to go is plaid.

With a piece like the Men’s Slim Fit Dark Navy Plaid Sport Coat, available online only from the Nick Graham collection at Macy’s, you can construct new outfit after outfit this blustery yet stubbornly social season. Designed in a checked blue and black, this layer is sure to light up the room and have you feeling cozy and looking cool.

My first instinct when it comes to braving the winter outdoors is to jump swiftly into a giant puffy jacket and wear it every day in the face of the carefully cultivated cold weather style I’ve worked on over the years.

As someone who gets cold extremely quickly when it gets to a certain number of degrees, I stand by my first rule of fashion in that comfort comes first! However, for those who can handle the chill with a little more gusto and those who hope for a warmer day in the midst of the cold, I recommend the stylish and sensible Vento TBP0020 from the Fall 2018 collection at Tallia Orange.

A little plaid is always a safe bet but we also need that weekly item on The Spot that makes a statement and isn’t shy about it.

Introducing the Vago TUY0072, also from the Fall 2018 collection at Tallia Orange, a blazer that is unabashedly bold and just the piece to take your look to the next level this celebration season. Wear as pictured with a cream turtleneck sweater and chestnut brown dress pants to accent the glistening palm fronds scattered tastefully on a deep navy background.

The under layers play just as big of a part in the winter ensemble, they can mean the difference between shivering all day and feeling toasty through the tough temperatures.

One way to combat the cold is with the Men’s Modern Long Johns, from the loungewear collection at Psycho Bunny! Made for comfort and ease of movement and available in galaxy, port, and sharkskin colors, these bottoms will provide all the insulation and style you’ve been looking for to snuggle down this season.
